Polewear Perfection: Your Questions Answered by Lingyi, Founder of Zerone DesignRP: Let's start by learning about your cannabis ritual.
LY: My ritual is all about creating a vibe—soft music, cozy lighting, and setting an intentional atmosphere. Whether it’s for pole or just relaxing, I love curating a space that feels like an escape.
RP: What is your favorite way to consume cannabis?
LY: I prefer edibles, like candies or chocolates—they’re simple, discreet, and feel like a treat. Plus, it’s a healthier option for me!
LY: I keep a cute little box for my candies—it’s part of my pole space and blends into the aesthetic. For me, it’s all about making everything I use feel intentional and artistic.
LY: Occasionally, yes! I’ll use it before doing slow flow as part of self-expression. It helps me relax and connect with my movements. But for safety, I avoid cannabis when doing tricks or strength-based routines since it affects my power.
RP: Let's move on to your business, Zerone Design, and the gorgeous polewear that you create. What inspired you to launch your business?
LY: Zerone Design was born from a love for pole dancing and the need for polewear that checks all the boxes—comfortable, functional, and beautiful. As a pole dancer myself, I wanted to create designs that not only perform well but make you feel amazing every time you wear them.
RP: What makes Zerone Design different from other polewear brands?
LY: We make sure our polewear does what it’s supposed to: protect your boobs and bits while you’re spinning, climbing, and doing all the crazy stuff! 💃 Every style is “invert checked” before it goes into production, because we know polewear isn’t just about being cute—it needs to do its job so you can pole worry-free. No slips, no distractions, just you and your pole goals!
RP: How do you ensure your polewear stays in place during tricks?
LY: We experimented with tons of fabrics to make sure they’re stretchy, soft, and move with you. Each design is rigorously tested by pole dancers (yes, we’ve spun, flipped, and slid in them all) to make sure they stay put—even during the wildest moves. Plus, our styles expose key contact points like thighs, waist, and shoulders, so they’re as functional as they are fabulous.
RP: What are you most proud of at Zerone Design?
LY: Honestly, it’s not us—it’s our incredible pole girls! We’re so proud of all of them who rock our designs and make them look amazing. The feedback we get melts our hearts—they feel confident and cherished wearing our sets, and they ALWAYS receive so many compliments from their pole fellows in the studio!
RP: What’s your best-selling collection?
LY: Our best-seller is the Unlimited Collection. People love it for everything it stands for: elegant, versatile, invert-proof, and always standing out in pole class! Whether you’re spinning on the pole or lounging after class, it’s a set that makes you feel effortlessly fabulous.
